Three new apartments for a dream vacation set in a modern villa. It’s a peaceful place surrounded by a lush nature, far from the hustle and bustle of city life. The villa offers a swimming pool, large Jacuzzi, garden and an incredible view of the Ligurian sea.

It’s positioned 50 meters above sea level and only 5 minutes away from the beach.

The Villa is encompassed by of olive trees, flowers and plants, creating a typical Mediterranean garden. The lawn is the outdoor carpet for the house and pool area.

The heated pool with its panoramic sea view is on the garden plateau (in Northern Italy “il Poggiolo” means “balcony”).

The villa, the garden and the pool

The heated swimming pool and the outside area have been totally renovated to guarantee fun and relax.
This quality space is surrounded by nature and has a breathtaking sea view.

The new infinity edged swimming pool is beautiful to look at but not only, this type of pool maintains better water quality. Our constantly controlled water purification system guarantees maximum hygiene using the latest technology.

The non-slip floor that surrounds the pool won’t burn your feet under the hot July, and August sun!

The solarium area is shaded by modern sail awnings and there are numerous sunbeds, beach chairs, and a hammock at your disposal.

The swimming pool measures 10 meters by 5 (32 feet by 16).
The Jacuzzi hot tub, accommodating up to 6 people, is situated in a glass house with a motorized roof which is perfect for relaxing in the evenings to gaze at the stars.

Controlling the color of the changing lights in the pools’ water has never been so easy, with the click of the remote control you can program your own nightly light-show.

The "mini-spa"

The new “mini-spa”
is an experience that touches all your senses.

Imagine yourself spending a relaxing evening immersed in the warm water of the Jacuzzi.

Soft music playing and the soft colored changing lights in the back ground, gazing up at the star studded sky.

All these extra touches create an ideal romantic atmosphere, with a sea view and the city lights below.

This is the atmosphere of the new “ViP mini-spa”!

The “mini-spa” has glass sliding doors, and a motorized roof that can be opened and closed with a click of the remote control.

The Jacuzzi can be used also in the winter (upon request, surcharge).

In summer, the temperature is kept at around 30°/32°(90°F). In colder season, the Jacuzzi can be heated up to 38° (100°F).

There is an iPad at your disposal which allows you to transmit music to the garden and the “mini-spa” for listening pleasure.

All of this is possible thanks to the “Bose” outside music system. This system is remote controlled by you permitting you to activate or deactivate the areas that you desire.

The iPad offers an “Apple Music” account that you can freely use.

The villa has been recently renovated and refurnished with high quality modern furniture.

Fast, free Wi-Fi unlimited, everywhere.
Seven hot-spots guarantee full Wi-Fi coverage in the apartments and also in the garden.

The villa contains three separate apartments, all furnished with the most up-to-date technology and accessories.

OUR 3 APARTMENTS:

1) ViP Suite – is very large (140 square meters / 1500 square feet) and occupies the entire main floor. It can comfortably accommodate 8 guests.

2) ViP Panorama – is smaller (60 square meters / 650 square feet) and is on the first floor. It can comfortably accommodate 4 guests.

3) ViP Panorama 2 – is almost identical to the ViP Panorama apartment, and it is also located on the first floor. It can comfortably accommodate 4 guests.

For 8 people – 140 m² (1500 ft²) – 3 bedrooms

The “ViP-Suite” apartment is very modern and technological, with spacious rooms.

The garden, the table soccer, the tennis table, the wood burning oven, the BBQ, the swimming pool, and the “mini-spa” are shared with all the guests of the villa.

However, by renting all 3 apartments you will not have other tourists within the same property, which will be for your exclusive use.

We do regular maintenance of the outdoor areas and the swimming pool, to ensure that guests can always make the most of all the features of the villa during their stay.

Everything worked the way it should. It is modern and up to date.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Pictures don’t do this Villa justice.
We rented the ViP Suite for 2 weeks in July (5 adults and 3 kids) and we could not have been happier. The apartment was well laid out and everything we needed was on hand. Kitchen was nicely stocked with appliances, the bathroom included a large bath tub/shower and most importantly, the technical connections part of the apartment was the best.

The Wifi was more than adequate along even the technical geeks with us downloading movies and playing Minecraft. The TV, DVD Player, Satellite Systems kept all the kids and adult kids occupied. Mauro even had DVDs (in English) for extra choices.

The Pool and the BBQ were great accessories to the villa.

Mauro and Stefano took good care of us. They were available anytime via phone and text. My husband and I wanted to go to Cinque Terre and Mauro was able to find us an apartment so we could spend a good day and a half in that area.

If I could, I would give Villa il Poggiolo 7 stars!
If you want to see the Liguria region, this is the place to be.
When you do get here, follow all of Mauro’s recommendations for sights to see and places to eat.

Diano Marina is a tourist village that became popular during the 1800’s as a seaside resort and it is visited by tourists from all over the Europe.

The Western Ligurian Riviera climate is famous for being delightful in the summer and mild in the winter.

This makes Diano Marina, an ideal destination for holidays throughout the year.

All along the coast there are sandy beaches, with nice beach establishments.

We suggest visiting the natural and historical beauties nearby us, like the medieval village of Cervo Ligure, Hambury’s botanical gardens or the marvelous inland villages as Dolceacqua, Bussana Vecchia, Triora and Apricale. As an alternative, we suggest longer trips such as the Genoa’s Aquarium (the second biggest in Europe), Portofino or the “Cinque Terre“, or the nearby Montecarlo and French Côte d’Azur.

The Story and Convictions of “Villa il Poggiolo”

“Villa il Poggiolo” was my parents dream come true home.

With my parents passing, and my life taking me in different directions I decided to transform it into a “Holiday Home” acting as a host to worldwide guests.

This little corner of the world has always felt special to me, almost magical. It’s a place that has a strong positive energy. The surrounding green area, the aromas of the pines and olives, and the gentle breezes coming from the deep blue sea. If you stretch out your arm, you’ll feel like you could touch it. The sun embracing it all day long from sunrise to sunset…

For this reason I felt that a “normal holiday home” which I interpret as, a simple place to stay for a week with a few beds and a kitchen, was not enough for me. My dream was to create for my guests a unique experience which would be unforgettable. To make it memorable, and recreate unforgettable and magical it would have to have a strong personality and spirit.

My objective was to transform luxury into luxurious fun, and technology into joy. Modern and elegant grounds for those carefree moments to spend with your family, or friends, or both.
Relax, entertain, or just play freely. Life in the house and life outside the house is furnished with all possible comforts and the most recent technology at your disposal everywhere.

These are my exact ideas for a holiday in a “house far away from home” this is what I intend.
